What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in.

Our approach: essential cookies only

PLATOO uses essential cookies only.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that follow you across the web. We do not sell your browsing data.

Local storage

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's local storage to remember your basket contents and UI preferences (e.g. selected filters). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to third parties.

Managing cookies

Because we only use essential cookies required for the service to function, a cookie consent banner is not required under UK PECR. However, you can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
  • Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies

Note: deleting the authentication cookie will sign you out of PLATOO.
